James George and Jonathan Minard aren’t your average documentary filmmakers. Currently fellows at the Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University (try saying that with a mouth full of peanut butter), the two have used their media arts backgrounds to create a stunning interactive documentary that asks: “What does it feel like to think with code? How can emerging technologies enable us to actualize our dreams? How has online sharing transformed the way artists collaborate?”

Gyro anyone? Kenyon KS-4×4 boat test

This test was the first on water for the Kenyon Laboratories KS-4×4 gyro. they used a Sony NEX-5N with the 18-200 lens. No post production stabilization was applied.
The boat was running 25-28mph for this test.
The new 4×4 stabilizer manages pitch, yaw, and roll stabilization without a significant increase in weight over the pitch/yaw models.
In the second half of the video, watch how much the boat moves relative to the water and land. The camera really just wanted to stay in one fixed point in space. (Yes, that really IS the goal)
